I wanted to change the lighting to emit a vintage horror aesthetic with slightly increased film grain, an emphasis on rim lighting in darker areas, increased light flickering, thicker fog, and more randomized sparks patterns. These are just a few of the areas near the beginning of the game and I will continue this. Aside from deciding this type of tone works in a horror setting; Dead Space being a remake of the classic further enhanced the potential to give it a blend of old and new.
